Virat, a young police officer, got married to fulfill a promise he made to the dying father of a woman. But things get complicated when his former lover re-enters his life, and he finds himself torn between emotions.
Sai asks Virat to decline the marriage proposal, reminding him of Pakhi, his former lover. Virat suggests dealing with the marriage, and Sai reluctantly agrees. During the wedding, Virat repeatedly tells Sai not to expect love and support from him, as he promised it to Pakhi. Sai makes it clear she’ll leave after completing her MBBS. Pakhi is devastated but reassured by Virat about their deal.
Chavan’s family rejects Virat and Sai’s marriage due to Sai not belonging to the upper-class Shahānnau Kule Maratha like Pakhi. They humiliate Sai, but she gives them a fitting reply. Virat faces false accusations, gets suspended, and blames Sai. Sai saves Virat’s job but later uncovers Devyani and Pulkit’s past, deciding to reunite them.
Virat throws Sai out after false accusations, but she proves her innocence. They reconcile when Virat gets injured. Sai helps mend Devyani and Harinee’s relationship. Misunderstandings lead to arguments, and Sai leaves, but they reconcile as friends. Sai falls in love with Virat.
Pakhi tries to get closer, causing tension. Misunderstandings lead to Sai leaving. They confess their love on Holi, marrying later. Sai has a miscarriage due to Pakhi’s curse, uses a surrogate, and exposes Pakhi’s manipulation. Sai leaves but has a daughter, Savi.
Seven years later, Sai returns with Vinayak, facing family opposition. Sai and Virat become police doctors. Pakhi tries to separate them, leading to misunderstandings on a picnic. Virat saves Sai but not Pakhi in an accident. Sai threatens to reveal the truth to Savi.
Virat and Pakhi go on a honeymoon. Sai takes Savi and Vinayak on an outing. Pakhi’s health deteriorates, and Sai saves her. Shivani announces her pregnancy. Virat hides the truth about Vinayak. Sai discovers Vinayak is alive and overjoyed.
