Ithempeli Lenkosi, the largest church in KwaZulu-Natal, is led by a man named Kwazi Mthembu. This religious institution combines faith with profitable business endeavors, including a water-selling enterprise. A beverage company forms a contract with Kwazi Mthembu’s church, where he offers a blessing for the water before it’s bottled, resulting in substantial profits that are shared between the church and the bottling company.

However, tragedy strikes when Kwazi Mthembu, the church’s leader, is killed. This event triggers a power struggle within the church as two families vie for the coveted top position. MaMzobe, the wife of the second-in-command, passionately believes her husband should lead Ithempeli Lenkosi. Yet, before Mthembu’s passing, he had designated his eldest son, Sphamandla, as the rightful successor, despite Sphamandla’s imprisonment.

Determined to keep leadership within her family, MaMzobe resorts to extreme measures, using witchcraft and hired henchmen to eliminate anyone who stands in her way, even including her own two children, Xolisile and Nobuntu, as well as fellow church members and the Mthembu clan. The burning question is whether Sphamandla can outsmart MaMzobe’s devious schemes and rightfully assume the coveted leadership role. This gripping story explores the intersection of power, faith, and family in a turbulent and treacherous environment.
